How Do I Receive Treatment?
This website offers patients, their family members and doctors, the opportunity to connect to licensed, professional facilities in China who use Gene Therapy and combination-treatment to treat Cancer.
Following is a step-by-step guide that illustrates the process of applying for gene therapy treatment in China:
The start the process of applying for treatment: Send an Inquiry via cancer-alternative.org with your basic personal details. You may add a message with questions, if you like.

An English-speaking representative will respond to your enquiry by email within 2 business days and will provide you with initial information.

You may ask our representative any questions you may have throughout the process of applying for treatment. At this point you will be asked to fill out a Medical Evaluation Form so the doctors may review your medical information and recommend whether or not gene therapy may help you, and what would be the suitable medical plan for you.

After filling out the Medical Evaluation Form , you may send it to us via the website or directly to the email address of the representative whom you are in contact with. (Recommended)
You will be requested to send us other relevant medical records (such as Radiology scans). Final evaluation and confirmation that you are accepted for treatment will not be provided before the relevant medical records are received.

Once your medical information was reviewed by the medical team, you will receive a detailed letter that explains the doctors’ opinion about your stage of cancer, condition and recommended treatment. The medical plan will be explained to you including recommended period of treatment and costs. In the case that you are not eligible for Gene therapy, the doctors will explain the reason for it.

Our international team will provide you with information, assistance and guidance with all the technical aspect of your arrival for treatment:
- - Information about Beijing, China or the specific location you are going to visit.
- - Daily services and facilities at the hospital such as food, accommodation for family members, internet access, entertainment, sightseeing,(if you’re interested), etc.
- - Visa application: we will provide you with formal invitation letter for your local Chinese embassy to apply for a long-term visa, for you and for your accompanying family members.
- - We will try to assist with any special needs or questions you may have.
*You will need to take care for airfare on your own according to your preferences and needs, and purchase the flight tickets with a traveling agent or airline company of your choosing.

Once you’ve made your decision to come to China for treatment, we will coordinate with the hospital your arrival date according to your requested date. To confirm your reservation you will be asked to fill out a Signing up form . This form will formally confirm your reservation and also confirms that you were explained the medical services you are going to receive, their nature and their costs. When you are going to get medical treatment outside your country, and you are not a citizen of the country that you visit, an agreement should be made between the patient and the treating hospital to assure both parties are clear and obliged to their part of the deal. The Signing up form is an agreement between you and the hospital (usually through an affiliate company.)
Because Gene therapy is not the standard of care in most countries, the following important disclosures are made:
• The science of treatment with Gene Therapy is in its infancy.
• The Gene Therapy drugs and Biological therapy drugs introduced on this website were approved for particular clinical use by the SFDA (State Food and Drug Administration of China). However, those drugs are not yet approved by the US FDA and other drug administrations, therefore are not considered to be standard of care for the treatment of Cancer.
• Some of the treatments that are introduced on this website will most likely not be covered by your insurance company. You should take this into consideration. However, some of the conventional therapies provided by the hospitals may be covered by your insurance policy (such as chemotherapy) and you are advised to check this with your insurance agent/health provider in your country.
• The results of Gene therapy are primarily dependant on the stage of cancer and the individual factors of each patient. Doctors are recommending to acquire combination treatment (the use of different therapies combined together) as early as possible after cancerous tumors were discovered and diagnosed.
• Whether at home or abroad, there are no guarantees regarding the result of any medical procedure. The results of new treatments such as Gene therapy, which are still under research in most countries, cannot be guaranteed as well. Gene therapy/Biological-therapy treatments will only be performed after the patient understands and agrees to informed consent.
